Is Applied Science degree same as A.S (Associates in Science) ?

I am getting my associates in science and the university says that applied science degree does not waive general education courses! so does it mean i have to take general education courses?

yes, you probably will need to take gen ed courses. Applied science is not the same as associate in science. If you want more info, check your college's catalog.

When you go to a community college you only want to take general ed classes if you are planning to transfer to a four year college. Gen ed. credits have a better chance of transferring over. All Bachelor degrees require gen ed. classes.
