Where can I take my master's degree?

Can you get a masters degree w/o a bachelor degree? how long will it take?

• Okay I want to be a post secondary teacher (at like a community college) most likely history or sociology. I have around 40 credit hours so far and i am studying at a univerity next year, i am currently at a junior college. I have 2 years under my belt. My question is how long from now can i earn my masters degree? Do i have to complete a bachelors program before doing that? and should i continue to major in my field of study or major in education? Thanks

  To teach history or sociology at a community college, you need to get your masters degree in the field you want to teach. You can't get it in education. A masters in education is for someone who wants to teach K-12. In order to teach at a community college, you must have both your bachelors degree and your masters. Although in a few fields, at a few schools, it's possible for you to get a masters without a bachelors, that won't be acceptable for the field you plan to enter. You need the bachelors. You really should get your bachelors in your field of study - history or sociology - not in education. You could minor in education, if you'd like, but you really should major in your academic subject.
