What's it like to live in a college campus?

Could I live in my fiancee's apartment on a college campus while going to a nearby community college?

  • I will be going to the nearby Community college the first year I live in Tulsa. My fiancee goes to Tulsa University and has an apartment on campus. Would I be able to live with him in his apartment and go to the nearby community college? If not, why?

  • Answer:

Many Universities require On-campus residents to be students at the University. That being said, many colleges also offer "Married" housing in which people who are legally married can live together if only one is a student at the school.

University of Tulsa (TU) has a lot of apartments on campus but they are for students and the spouse/family of students. Honestly I'm not sure if fiance counts for that, you should call the school and ask though. It's probably fine. Unrelated note: be careful that you don't fall in love with that campus like I did unless you can afford it :P It's a very expensive school and I hated to drop out after 2 years there but just couldn't afford it even with financial aid and scholarships. :-(

Most likely not because you don't attend Tulsa University nor are you guys married, but it doesn't mean you have to tell them your staying there. Just stay there.

That depends entirely on the terms of his lease and the building's rules. He'll need to look into that.
