If you've already completed a year of university, is it possible to transfer to another university but...?
-
use your marks from high school instead of your university marks? I want to transfer schools, but my grades weren't very good this year. I don't care about transferring over my credits, because I want to go in to a different program eventually anyways. Is this possible? I live in Canada. I'm either transferring to a university in Ontario, or one in Nova Scotia.

Answer:
No, after you start college, your high school grades do not matter. All that follows you now is your college grades.

Well, that's not transferring. It's reapplying.
Yes you should be able to transfer. I would just go talk or email and adviser to help you with specific information. I had the same issue. I transfer from a smaller private university to a big public university. I was afraid I wasn't going to get accepted and went ahead and apply to the local community college also. But, I would call or email an adviser from those two schools and they can go more in depth about helping you transfer in. Good Luck!
Some people have been able to get into other schools with previous university experience, using only their high schools. However, I would NOT recommend it. If they find out, you will be kicked out of school. So, legally, no. You can't re-apply. Only your university marks matter now. Can you take a few more courses and boost up your average before transferring? Or just stick with your current university. How bad is your GPA anyway? If it isn't *too* bad, you can try transferring for some of the lower-ranked, but still good, schools. Hope that helps.
