What are my chances of getting into UT austin?

My chances of getting into UT Austin....?

  • Hi everyone, I know this question is asked a lot, but I couldn't really find any close to my situation. Im am currently a sophomore and a Texas resident. Iv been researching colleges lately and i have narrowed down to 3 Texas universities. #1 UT austin #2 Texas A&M #3 UTA. These colleges all have the same major I have in mind. I really wanna have a major in aerospace engineering. On a 6 point GPA scale, my GPA this year is currently a 5 and im taking 3 honors classes. My freshman year, I had all regular classes and was around a 4.4 GPA. Right now I am only looking at texas colleges because of the cheaper admission. UT austin is really competetive and I worry about my academia, besides grades, its hard to do volunteering because of my super busy band schedule. Anyways I was wondering if I have a chance of being admitted or any advice in imporving my chances. Please be honest, all advice is appreciated. Thanks :)
