What are some good psychology schools on the east coast?

Good engineering schools on the east or west coast? Should I transfer?

• I'm currently a student at UCSB and feel blessed to be able to go here. However, I came here for one thing only, an engineering degree, which i might not be able to get here. I came here in letters and science in hopes to be able to switch into engineering. It's not looking hopeful so! I think I'm going to transfer after this year(freshman) if I do not get into engineering which i don't think i will. Do you recommend transferring after only one year? I can't apply to other schools until after this year so it would have to be for next winter semester, should I stay enrolled for the fall semester until I transfer or should i unenroll after this year? ALSO, what are some good engineering schools near the coast that will take me after only a year. A lot of schools require two years, but I want to be near the coast because i surf and kite surf.

  If you want to be near a beach, consider Rochester Institute of Technology. It's not clear why you could not get into UCSB's Engineering School. If it's just a matter of Engineering being impacted, then you can reasonably expect to transfer somewhere. If your GPA is just not good enough, you will have to transfer to a much lower-reputation school or transfer to Engineering Technology.
