I would rec. CC first. If you weren't able to prepare in high school, it can help and its so much cheaper! CCs don't usually have reqs, its open enrollment. and they test you and place you in classes that fit what you need to learn and work on. and then, transferring to a university is easier because you have the credits and experience. and depending on how low your score is, could determine the quality of college you would get in to. and you will need the test scores to transfer. SAT or ACT work.

Community colleges have open enrollment. You should have taken 3-4 years of English, 3-4 years of math, 2 or 4 years of a foreign language (recommended), andcat least 2 years of U.S. history to get accepted into a community college. Good luck.

Community Colleges pretty much take everyone. You will not have to submit your test scores when you transfer if you have more than 24 credits. You will be considered a transfer and will not have to submit anything from high school.
