What is the student body of colleges?

Which of these colleges should I go to?

  • I have been accepted to : Baylor University Texas A&M University (College Station) LeTourneau University I am planning on majoring in Electrical Engineering. I can't choose which of these colleges to go to because each has its fair share of pros and cons. Baylor has a beautiful campus, nice facilities, but I wasn't too impressed with their engineering. Texas A&M has great engineering, but the student body is massive which I didn't really like and their campus is ugly in my opinion. LeTourneau has a small student body and a decent engineering, but I'm not sure how theirs can stack up against Baylor and Texas A&M and they don't have as much student perks as the others (football games, student activities, etc). (Obviously I didn't list all the pros and cons, I just gave a general pros and cons). So can anyone give me some advice or help me make my decision somehow? If this was your decision which would you choose and why? Thanks!

  • Answer:

Not sure why you're "not impressed" with Baylor. Baylor is ranked ~#11 among teaching universities for Engineering. Also, Baylor is one of only eighteen school on the USA to get an "A" rating for comprehensive General Education by the ACTA Education Foundation.

Texas A&M

Just going by what you have listed I would say Texas A&M. It does suck that it is a large student body and you will probably just be treated as another body, but that's how it is at my small community college as well. I'd imagine you'd find this at most places. Also, the campus is ugly, but the aesthetics of it shouldn't be the most important decision of where you choose to attend college. What is comes down to is your major. You said Texas A&M has the best engineering courses, and that is going to make a huge difference. You'll have better, experienced professors and you'll get a lot more out of it. Plus, down the road when applying for a job relating to your field they will see you graduated from here and take that into account. (Trust me, engineering firms will know how well colleges teach it based on past hires.)
