Your GPA is too low for a 'great' school. You're looking for pretty good schools that would accept you. The 'medical field' is not very specific. If you're looking for a nursing program, check out your local universities and technical schools. If you want to be a doctor, you can do premed at almost any 4-year college or university. You need a 4-year degree to apply to med school. Med school will be expensive, so try saving money on your undergraduate degree by attending a state school if you can. You'll need a much higher GPA in college to have a chance at getting into medical school. Business camps and poetry contests won't help you get into medical school.

Please read the entire answer before reaching a conclusion. You have an excellent chance of admission to Eastern Michigan University. Michigan State and University of Michigan-Dearborn are reaches for you but are not impossible. Studying at one of these schools will be a better path toward medical school than going to a "great university" with a grading curve and competition which will make medical school admission impossible. A student does not need to have attended a "great university" to be admitted to medical school. A student does need nearly straight A grades at the university which is attended.
