When is a good time to apply for internships?

  • I am a current sophomore in uni. When is a good time to apply for internships? I noticed some people do it early on, and while I was browsing course requirements for majors and such, I noticed there are certain time requirement frames to do internships. Is it better to do the internship early on or do it during the allotted time year of, lets say, senior year, or whenever. Sorry it is phrased so awkwardly, my brain is still in a muddle from thinking about it so much.

    Right away. Many firms do hire sophomores as interns, at least in the business fields, or at least have a development program. Even if you don't get a position right away, the fact that you showed interest to the recruiter early on will put you a step ahead next year.
