  • has anyone ever went to community college than transfered to a university????did all ur credits transfer..if not why i am going to community college for nursing and transferring ...but i am in a AS program which i heard is good for transferring

  • Answer:

the school that you are transferring TO is who decides if they accept your classes. No one else. Every semester BEFORE you start classes, you need to take your prospective schedule to the university to make sure they will transfer. If you don't you'll be wasting time and money. THIS is what everyone does (not asking folks on Y!A) and what you need to be doing too.

For me a lot of the credits I needed were transferred. The community college I went to had 3 credit hour lab classes while the university only accepted them as 1 credit hour classes which was good for me. If you transfer within the same state it's more likely the classes will transfer. When it comes down to it you need to contact the universities your interested in and see what they say.

depends on the state you are in. talk to your counselor at the CC.

I have. Most credits that transfer are like low level math and english classes. An AS program is good for transfer becasue at community college, you take classes on that prgram that are prerequisites. They usually transfer to the university.
