Grades to get into a good college?

Will these grades get me into a good college?

  • i'm currently half way through my freshman year and all my courses are honors. Before high school my grades in middle school were all straight A's but now it's obviously a lot harder and so far on both report cards I've gotten B+'s or B's in my honors classes. My electives have been A's but bio has been a B noth marking periods, history B and a B+, english B+ both marling periods and geometry B+ both times......Now my goal was always to get into a top notch college (NOT ivy league) but a very good one like NYU or USC..maybe even boston university....i'm oersonally not very happy with my grades because i know i can do better but are these still good grades? the next two marking periods im defnitely planning on raising those B;s to A's . but do you think i would be elgiible for these colleges? Do i still have a chance?

    yes, you will...just keep working, and chill, I'm a sophmore, I try not to give much thought to "oh, harvard is my dream school, I want to go there..." I have a 3.7 or so GPA, and I'll most likely go to the University of Maryland

(Still a freshman). But yes, you totally do! I personally can't afford B's, but either way, you can still get into great colleges. Do extra curricular stuff, community service, stuff like that. I promise you'll do great, just keep it up and try getting more A's.
