Do you have to attend college before a university?

Should i attend a community college or start at a university in the spring semester?

  • well during my senior year i did not pay much attention in applying to a university cause my idea was to start at a community college but now my mom wants me to attend a university next spring. What should i do?

    Well i did the same thing. But ended up in a community college. You can still apply for university but need to check. I would suggest community college its cheaper. If you have no money issues then univesity would be best. But then it's all up to you!

Start at an University in the spring semester.

If you can get your stuff together and apply to a university that would be better, but if you weren't paying attention to that last year then chances are your grades won't be up to par for that. You'll probably have to spend a year at community colleges proving to 4-year colleges that you are serious and have the grades.

You mother has obviously been misinformed by someone. Going to community college not only saves you money but helps you secure at least an associates degree in the event that you don't want to go to college for your bachelor's.
