What does it take to be accepted to medical school?

Did I had to take foreign language class in high school to get accepted to Uconn.?

  • I'm planning to transfer to Uconn storrs campus after one year at Middlesex CC. Im worried that I wont get accepted to Uconn because I didnt take any foreign classes in High School. Can someone Please HELP ME!!!!!!!!

    Take them at Middlesex CC, and it will no longer be an issue. In addition, the language classes you take at Middlesex will apply toward your degree requirements at UConn - bonus. When you go to Middlesex, sign up for "Spanish 1" or something for your first term, and then take "Spanish 2" in your second term. Two terms of college-level foreign language are equivalent to 2 *years* in high school, so you'll be just fine.

It wont eliminate your chances but colleges do like to see at least 2 years of a foreign language. Considering you will have one year of community college under your belt, this will probably be even less of an issue. I would call UConns admissions department and see what they have to say themselves. Usually colleges have a certain point where when you transfer they don't look at your high school stuff. It may be one semester or it may be more I'm not sure.

What are their admissions requirements, for transfer students? The reality is that, while this sort of question gets asked 40 or 50 times a day (at least), any inquires relative to getting accepted into any institute of higher learning can be answered by referring to any college/universities website and referencing their minimum admission requirements.
