Chatham University has one of the best PA programs in the US.. It is a women’s school for undergrads but co-ed for graduate school including the PA program. [The PA program is no longer housed on the main campus, although the grad student housing is on the main campus—and they are one of few schools that offers grad student housing] Have a look to see what the requirements are. http://www.chatham.edu/departments/healthmgmt/graduate/pa/

The majority of PA program are now masters degrees. Since you need a bachelors before you can get a masters, it is perfectly reasonable to go to UGA first. While there you need to complete the pre-PA required courses (General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Physics, Biology). Most PA masters programs require substantial healthcare experience. Working as a CNA/EMT part-time while in undergrad would be a good idea in order to get the healthcare experience.
