I want to become a vet tech and later and veterinarian...What classes should I take?
-
More specifically, I want to become a vet tech and get experience doing that and decide if this is the right career path for me. If I decide that it is, I want to become a veterinarian and I want to work with wildlife. I want to do wildlife rescue. I want to know if there are specific classes I have to take to work with wildlife in particular or if the program is generalized. Thank you!

Answer:
They are generalized programs. However, you should be aware that except for getting work experience, becoming a vet tech will not make it easier to become a vet. Probably none of the classes will transfer, so you'd still be looking at about 8 years of schooling to become a vet. And be aware that vet tech jobs don't pay that much. Most make under $30k per year.
