What are some well-known colleges?

What are colleges in the north west of USA known for?

• Colleges like: Central UW Wazu gonzaga Eastern U of O OSU I know there isnt a generic thing well known for all of these, but for each one individually. I'm looking into schools in that area of the states Help is much appreciated! thanks!

  I live in Seattle, so these are all of the types of schools I'll be applying to this year. I honestly don't know THAT much about schools, but I do know that UW med is ranked top 20 in the nation. UW is considered a very solid school and a fantastic grad school with an outstanding med program! Central is well known for it's music, and I've played with their band. It is an above average school with a great music program. WSU is definitely known as the party school in the northwest. It is a decent school with pretty good agriculture program. Western is a lot like WSU, without the partying. Gonzaga is a Catholic school which is it's main point that stands out. It has good liberal arts! That's all I can say!
