Do I have to take AP world?

Can I take AP World History grades based on my AP Gov. grades?

  • I am planning to take 3-4 Ap classes next year. AP World History, AP English, AP Spanish, and AP Human Geo. It is actually kind of funny because i am better in math and science then i am in history and english but I still do good in those classes. Okay, so in AP government, I got a C for this first quarter, and i want to take AP World History however next year. For this quarter(2nd), I am improving tremendously. I am finally passing my tests! I am looking forward to a B or even an A for the second quarter. So, is it possible to still take AP World History next year or is totally out of the question based on my first quarter grade?

  • Answer:

I took AP gov't in High school too. You do realize it's 2 ap tests together right? It's political science and american government. World history is easy stuff, you should do fine.. Don't trust a stranger though, what's your gut tell you to do.

The decision is up to your school. There is, however, only a very limited connection, if any, between AP World History and AP Government. That said, your school will probably primarily consider your second quarter grades./
