The best classes to take for Agricultural Engineering?

How long would i take to learn to prerequisite classes that are needed to study engineering?

  • I am 26 years old. When i was 19 I got in quite a bit of trouble and served 6 years in prison. Now I am trying to get things back on track and am thinkin about attending community college to start studying engineering( not sure of exactly which type of engineering as of yet) With that being said I would like an opinion on what I would have to learn before I got started. Algebra 1 is a prerequisite which I took while in high school but I definately need to learn it over again. I also kno the program deals with calculus and physics but I am not sure if I need to have some prior experience in those classes before I take the classes they offer in the program. I am willing to do what it takes to pursue this but I am a little unsure of how to go about approaching this whole college thing since I went the other route and never experienced it. Any suggestions and information would be greatly appreciated

    Naturally Calculus is where all maths converge. You will need Algebra, Geometry, and Trigonometry to fully understand it. Physics will likely be Calculus based in college so the basically go hand in hand. It would be wise to look for a 4 year university where you want to study engineering and get the pre reqs and electives out of the way at community college and transfer after 2 years. You will be fine, as long as you stick with it, you will make it through.

Engineering will be too tough for you. Engineering Technology is possible. "Industrial Technology" is even more possible. If you start out in Community College for either of these two degrees, make sure whatever you are taking is articulated with the university you want to attend. The website below lists all ATMAE-accredited degrees in Industrial Technology (sometimes called Technology Management).
