How to get accepted into a good college?

• I'm in 10th grade currently, and for 9th grade i went to a junior high; they never stressed how important it was to get good grades for college. So, in 9th grade, i slacked off a ton and now i have gpa of 2.5 =[ It's really bad and im doing way better in my classes this year, i have all b's and a couple a's and i'm going to take a couple summer school classes over the sumer to make up for my freshman year. But that will only be two, one semester credits =/ I really want to be a forensics scientist or biochemist =P i have no idea which college i want to go to yet, but i need to get into a good one. It's stressing me out really bad latley. My boyfriends parents were university professors and my boyfriend has all b's right now, and they wont get off his butt about how he will go nowhere in life with those grades. And my parents are getting upset with me too, but not nearly to that extent. Nobody in my family has ever gone to college either so i feel alot of pressure. I just need some advice of what i can do? Like, i'm not concerned about my grades right now because they're getting way better and i have way better study habits. So, advice?

  Usually your freshman grades dont count depending on the school. Universities usually look more into your sophomore - junior year grades becuase they wont know your senior yr grades until after your senior yr.
