When is the best time to study abroad in college?

When going to college, is it a good idea to play sports as well as do work-study at the same time?

  • I'll be going to college as a freshman in the fall. I want to do work-study to help pay for my education, but I really love playing tennis. (I was Captain of my team in h.s.). Do you think it's a good idea to do both, or is it too much? Btw, I'm planning on majoring in Biology/Pre-Med.

  • Answer:

I wouldn't do tennis right away; do work study and school and see how you handle that workload, and if you find yourself with a lot of free time then add tennis.

of course, i would do it the afternoon of the next day i land/arrive, if im too busy, id definitely do it the day after. the body needs recreation in order to be loose and limber, otherwise unnecessary stress builds up, stress you wouldn't have if you just step out and play. im sure pre-med might cover that. anyways, your welcome

Hell no. If you're serious about getting into med school, you need to get your priorities straight. All they care about is your MCAT and GPA. Med schools couldn't care less if you played tennis or worked part time. Most decent med schools won't accept someone with a GPA lower than 3.7-3.8.
