What is the best free MSN?

I have a BS and would like an MSN. what online school is the best?

  • I am ready for a career change. I have been in Pharmaceutical Sales for 8 years and I'm burnt out. I'd like to be a Nurse now! I have my undergrad in political science, so I know I'd need to do some pre-reqs. Does anyone have this experience and if so, what is the best school for me to start to earn my MSN online? I keep seeing Univ of Phoenix (NO) and Kaplan U. (? not sure) What do you recommend for me to get the best opportunity?

    NO NOT UNIVERSITY OF PHOENIX. Sorry for the caps but you really should google any school you're thinking about if they have a tv commercial. UoP, ITT tech, and all those other schools are scams whose degrees aren't accepted by any professional company. You're better off with a local community or state college. Tons of state universities and community colleges have online programs these days. Check out www.collegeboard.com tons of info on everything you need to know.

Kaplan is as bad as Phoenix. I have never found worthwhile online MSN program. Would you like to be treated by an MSN who had earned the degree on line? I would not.

Nursing is never online. Do you want someone starting an IV who never did on a patient. Any accredited entry level program is not online no matter if it is an ASN or BSN. You probably should google accelerated BSN programs. It is for people who already have a BS degree. It is one year full time. Many then combin e that wiith a masters. If you need to go part time, you will need to do an evening ASN program. Those online programs are for nurses looking to get a more advanced degree.

You cannot become a nurse online.You must actually attend school to learn the physicsl skills.You must learn them before they send you to do clinical hours in actual health care facilities. You can't learn how to care for and assess patients while sitting at a computer.
