What is a good online rn to BSN program? nursing BSN?

Do you need to apply for a community college nursing program?

  • I went online because I want to get my BSN in 4 years. I noticed that before you start the nursing program you need to take a lot of science courses. This will probably take me another 2 years.. so 6 years to get my BSN?!?!?!?!? is that absurd or what? i was planning on going for 2 years to get my associates, then transferring to a university as a junior to get my bachelors. i want my bachelors because im planning on becoming a nurse practitioner after a few years of working as a RN. is there any way i can go to a community college straight out of high school and still get my BSN in 4 years?

  • Answer:

Yes, what you ask can be done. 1. Take the basic pre req courses at the community college and get stellar grades 2. Transfer out to a university after your 1st year. Nursing won't start until you're a junior when all your mandatories are out of the way. Be sure to scrutinize the nursing curriculum closely so that you can match up the pre req exactly i.e. don't take classes at the community college you won't need at the university via inattention to detail.

Other answers

To get it in 4 years you need to get an ASN and then find an RN to BSN program. There are also RN to MSN programs.

Idk why you couldn't. If you get all your classes done before or after doing a nursing program, you're all set :)
