What should I do if I have not received my college admission letters?

Will Taking College in high school be impressive to a college?

  • So my cumulative GPA is 2.8, 17 on ACT & I'm a high school senior. Starting junior year, I started taking college level clasess at a community college which is what my school offers instead of AP clasess. I have a high school & college transcript and on my college transcript I've completed seven college courses at the community college level with a gpa of about 3.3 (a little higher than high school). Five of the seven clasess are transferable to the state university I want to attend. So will the university(which has an acceptance rate of 84%) take into considetation the fact that I've taken 7,college clasess with a slightly higher gpa? I also have 223+ community service hours, extra curriculars, great letters of reccomendation, & good admission essays.

  • Answer:

Yes it will. The only thing holding you back is your ACT. I HIGHLY recommend studying for it/getting a tutor and taking it again. You have to be in the 20's. In my opinion,if the extra stuff like college classes holds you back from improving your ACT, it's not worth it. The two MOST important things are grades & ACT. NO, they are not the "only things" but if you look at several sites they were the "mandatory" things while everything else is "looked at" or "recommended".
