What are some careers in the health field that do not require someone to go to school for a long time?

    medical asst, or medical coding and billing, or even ultrasound technician. they all only take a couple years. good luck!! =]

You need to better clarify your question. The "health field" is an enormously large entity that includes medical staff, administrative staff, pharmaceuticals, equipment, hospitals, home health care, etc. Please be more specific. Also "school for a long time" is also a bit vague. What do you consider a long time? 2 yrs, 4yrs, 6?

NURSING!!! 4yrs for a BSN, theoretically 2yrs for an Associates but I believe most schools have a waiting time of over a year now to get into the program.
