University of Michigan?

University of Miami in Florida or University of Michigan?

  • got into both the University of Michigan and the University of Miami. However, I don't really like The University of Michigan and the cold. My friends keep telling me to go there because "it's a better school" and that "Miami is simply a party school where you won't fit in." I don't want to make a decision based upon where I'll have the most fun or the wheather but it certanily is a consideration. If I went to Miami and perfomed exceptionally (3.86 gpa) along with high test scores could I get into an Ivy League med school?

    I say go to the University of Miami. Its got beaches, palm trees, warm weather, and plenty of sunshine. You will hate Michigan. Plus in Miami you dont have to worry about traveling for spring break. Its way better and plenty of parties to have fun at. Go for it dont mess up you finally years of school at a place you dont want to be.

From what ive heard, if you want to go to an Ivy as a graduate student, you NEED sone sort of research experience. Grades are important, but research is critical. Any sort of experience will boost your chances. The more interest you show the better. Both are great schools but i think Michigan has more research opourtunities. Hope i helped

Ivy league schools require a higher gpa sorry thats about the low percentile at a ivy league school ur talking more 4.0 to 4.2 Gpa
