Can I transfer from a community college to a four year university after one semester?

  • I enrolled in the spring semester as a freshman at a small community college locally. I realized VERY shortly afterward that this was not the school nor the program for me. And I want to transfer to a four year university. However looking around, it appears that most/all four year schools I look at require a minimum number of credit hours passed to be eligible for a transfer. I will only have 6 credit hours at the end of the semester, as I am going only half time. But I am DESPERATELY trying to get away from this school and into a school/program that I actually enjoy.

    You would have to apply as a freshman due to the fact that you are under 30 credits
