• Right now I'm in grade 9, in Ontario, Canada. My average is 88% without trying too much. What courses should I take in grade 11/12 to get into a good university. Which is the best university in Ontario to become a doctor? I'm best at science , math, and computer related courses.

  Medicine: There is no direct entry from high school into Medical School. Students must first complete at least two years of university study in another Faculty. Some applicants with outstanding ability are admitted to Medical School after two or three years of full-time study, but most students complete at least four years of full-time university study before beginning Medical School. Prior to being admitted to Medical School, applicants must complete university courses in biology, English, general chemistry (including inorganic chemistry), organic chemistry, physics, statistics and biochemistry. Additional requirements include writing the Medical College Admission Test (MCAT) and submitting closed Letters of Reference. Applicants with a competitive cumulative average, the prerequisite courses, and the MCAT average will earn an interview for admission into the University of Alberta Medical School.
