Which is better: College or University?

  • I'm going to be majoring in Business Management and was wondering if it's better to have a degree from a college or University? I'm at a college right now. Is it worth it to transfer to a university or will a college degree be adequate?

  • Answer:

University. It's more expensive, but future companies you apply for will look at the diploma of which college/university you had gotten the degree from. =)

The difference between a college and a university is the graduate degrees they offer. For undergrad, one is not better than the other. For example- Amherst College- top school, one of the best in the country University of Phoenix- diploma mill What is important is that you graduate with the highest GPA possible and get some significant intern experience. The only reason to transfer is if you were moving from a very low ranked school to a very high ranked school. More than likely, it isn't worth it.
