What is the biology major like in college?

What would college like better? AP Biology or Chemistry Honors in High School?

  • This is what i would like to do for the rest of my years in high school: 9- Integrated Science, 10- Biology Honors (Mandatory), 11- Either AP Biology or Chemistry Honors (must be a lab and i heard biology is a lab and i must have 2 credits), 12- Anatomy & Physiology Honors :D

  • Answer:

Yeah, you should definitely take honors chemistry if that will be your first chemistry class. You'll need some background going into college. Especially if you're going to major in the sciences. But an AP class does look good on a transcript because it shows you are challenging yourself.

I would take both. The more honors and AP classes you have will show that you're likely to succeed in college

AP Biology would mean you don't have to take that class in college. It really depends on whether you want to cut off a few hours of college classes. Honors Chemistry is pretty basic stuff though. You're definitely going to need it, so I would recommend that.
