Should I take AP Environmental Science my senior year?

SHOULD I TAKE 2 AP MATHS AND AP SCIENCE CLASSES SENIOR YEAR?

  • they are ap calc, ap physis, ap stats, ap chemistry.since freshman year, i have taken 11 honors and 6 ap's. i am a URM. AND WOULD IT LOOK GOOD IF I GET AN A IN ALL THOSE 4 AP'S MATH AND SCIENCE CLASSES, AND HOW DOES IT AFFECT MY ACCEPTANCE?

  • Answer:

It depends on where you go to college. For most of my college applications they simply looked at my GPA and ACT score (or SAT); however, taking the AP classes will make you look very motivated and dedicated to your studies. Where the AP classes helped me out was when I did get accepted, it was just 1 less class I didn't have to take & to focus on the classes I needed for my degree versus the general education classes. Good Luck!

Most colleges don't look at senior year transcripts until after they accept you so prob little if no affect, however it would make you that much more prepared for college... personally I would lighten the load and enjoy your last senior year and not regret it as it has little or no affect. One thing I've learned is that little things like that don't affect your acceptance but your application as a whole is what counts. College admission are shaky and you'd be surprised who gets in where and who doesn't.
