What are some colleges in California?

  • Hi im living in lower Alabama right now and i only have a year of highschool left! I want very badly to move to California and attend a college their. I know close to nothing about California and its area. So could somebody please fill me in on some decent colleges or some decent areas?!?!? thanks!

Im missing only private colleges in california. I did list a few though.

There are over 200 colleges in California and they are all expensive for an out of state student. There are lovely areas and ugly areas all over CA. You need to give us more information.

California has some of the best schools in the country.... how do you know nothing about California schools? And why would you want to live here? It sucks here. Go to Florida or Hawaii. First, what is your GPA and SAT scores? The good private schools and the UC's are very hard to get into and you need to be well qualified. CSUs are also another option and generally easier to get into. But also, Ca is going through a huge budget crisis and tuition is insanely high. I would stay out if I were you.

im not sure how to get a naviance account without a school program giving you one, but try. maybe ask your counselor. its a great college planning tool.

Stanford, USC, any UC school but their out of state acceptance is extremely low, any UC State school is also fine.
