Are colleges raising their requirements? If so, why are they doing it?

TOEFL Scores for English Language proficiency Requirements for Us colleges.?

• Am applying to some colleges in the Us which require that I provide TOEFL test scores as part of the required documents for international admissions.The deadline is April 1st and I haven't taken the test yet. And my country is not part of the exemption list for some of the colleges.Can I submit the other required documentation before the deadline, take the test in May or June and have it sent to the colleges directly from the testing agencies and still be given Admission and the I-20 Form(Certificate OF Eligibility) or does the test have to be submitted or sent BEFORE the deadline for them to consider my application to the Universities.

  It depends on the school. Mine would give you a week or two past the deadline, but not until May or June. Some wouldn't even give you that long. Ask the colleges you're applying to!
