Answer:

In college, it's all about your GPA. If your GPA drops down to the "academic probation" level, no matter when that happens, then you're on academic probation. Doesn't matter if it's summer term, fall term, or what.

For my school, you are placed on Academic Probation if you do not pass 2 or more subjects. If you fail 2 or more subjects in Summer School, I'm sure they would put you back on Academic Probation or make you repeat the grade. Hope I helped :-)
