Do colleges throw parties before break?

  • So I am a freshman at this college, we are having our final exams this week (december 14-17) amd we leave for our 3 week break sunday at noon. I wanted to know If colleges usually throw parties on the weeked of exams before they go away?

    There is always a party somewhere, it doesn't matter what day it is. Everyone has finals on different days at different times so yes, there will be parties. Maybe not as abundant as other times in the semester.

Some students throw parties. Some just want to leave campus as soon as possible. As for school sanctioned events, some schools will have an event right before finals start since most students won't stay on campus until the last day unless they have to. Some will have mini events throughout finals week. Some will do a big event at the end to celebrate finals being over.

Some throw special meals for finals. I know many of them have "Pancake Finals" and they'll do free pancakes with all the fixings at midnight one of the nights of finals. Check your student activity calendars - they might be doing something. Good luck.
