I did not do so well in high school, can I make everything up in community college and transfer to a four year degree? My GPA is 2.5, SAT is 990 can't re-take it because there's no more waiver, and Suffolk County Community College doesn't even require your SAT scores just your high school diploma and transcript I was thinking of making things up in community college and then transfer to Stoonybrook its a four year school. What are the requirements to go to a four year school if I choose this path of my education in nursing? I completed what I was required to do which are: - four years in social studies Global,US-History, and Government - four years in science Chem,Earth,Bio, and Gen - four years in math Alg,Alg II, Geo, and Trig - four years in English Completed all my regents exam which I'm getting my regents diploma because of I passed all my exams. Regents are state exam given to high school students by their state government each state are different.

YES! I know how you feel I got a low grade on the SAT's (I f-up tests and despise math) and did okay at best in High School. BUT I received all A's (except for the B I made in the damn stats class) in Community College. I did some extracurricular activites and got in no problem to probably the best school in the State of Virginia. I am sure it is remarkably similar from state to state. It also sounds like you have a good plan; just do your best and try like hell to get as many A's as possible in Community College!
You'd have to talk to an academic adviser at Suffolk about what you should take to apply to a nursing program. But don't think about it as 'making up high school', think about it as starting over at a new school.
Sure you can. Make an appointment to talk to community college counselor. Don't limit yourself to nursing. There are many jobs in health and medicine that don't require a four-year degree. Things such as x-ray technician or ultrasound technician. http://explorehealthcareers.org/en/home
