What would be the best major for me?

What double major would supplement a Nutritional Sciences major the best?

  • I am currently a nutrition major and am looking for something that will supplement my study of nutrition. I am thinking possible a double major in biology, psychology, or physiology and neurobiology. What other major would go along best. Especially if I could be interested in doing some kind of nutrition research in the future?

  • Answer:

Not in regards to nutrition research, you could double major in business to have a private practice or be involved in sales/marketing. You could double major in journalism/mass communications and write nutrition articles. As for research, Biology or one of the other majors you listed would probably be best. It would also reinforce the Biology and Chemistry you learn from your nutrition classes, and would require less credits for the 2nd major. A 2nd language, especially Spanish, could increase your salary by thousands and give you a major edge when applying for nutrition jobs in the future.
