What college course can I take that doesn't require math?

  • I'm taking a year off after I graduate highschool next year to work and save up for a film internship I plan to take. Everyone is telling me I should take a college course and do something like radiology in a hospital for the year, which would make twice the money of working at a fast food place. Since they ARE right, I'm looking into it. But what college course can I take that doesn't require math? Because I'm math-challenged.

    i believe you shouldn't take a year off because it's said if you wait youll never go, but thats just a saying, but it would be good to go because your mind is still fresh from high school so you might be a little rusty for college if you wait. College is very flexible unlike high school, you can still be work at a hospital and save money. There is grants and scholarships,fafsa to help for college so you can save for your internship.

You can't do radiology in a hospital with a 6-8 week course. Accredited programs are 40 hours per week for 2 years, after prerequisites, which include math. If you want shorter training, maybe phlebotomy? P.S. I love Rick Springfield :)

Just remember that the degrees that do not require any math seldon lead to an actual job. All the better paying majors require math that is somewhat difficult. Thenon-math majors are as likely to get you a job at Starbucks as anywhere.

If you're interested in film, there's always film school. The counselors pretty much help you avoid math throughout you're college career. This is of course true for most people majoring in the arts. If you're an English major, or the like, your counselor will most likely have you take a very basic math class, ie. math for poets. I'm sure you'll have to take one, but it won't be anything to ever stress about.
