What should I bring to college?

What do I bring to College(dorm)?

  • I got accepted to ECU, YAY ME! But what do I bring?

  • Answer:

Well, depending if you're living with a roomate or not, I would first talk to them and see what they plan on bringing. You'll need a refrigerator, microwave, tv, dvd player. Sometimes the schools sell refrigerator/microwaves you can rent for the semester. But, I know my roomate and I agreed on what to bring. I brought the tv and she brought the frig/microwave. For personal things, you'll want sheets/blankets/pillows for the bed, shower things....a shower caddy to carry all of your stuff into the showers, shower shoes (flip flops....the showers can get nasty), extra stuff....toothpaste, shampoo, body wash/soap. FOOD. I always kept a storage container under my bed full of food. Get canned things, like soup, or Easy Mac. Something easy you can throw in the microwave. Cases of bottled water. Ummm....laundry detergent and a laundry basket. Also, depending on whether the machines take quarters or not, you may want to save up some quarters to do your laundry at school. Hangers for your clothes. I also kept one of those medium sized, plastic, three drawer things in my closet at school for storage. I also put bins that I would bring things to school with me in under my bed for storage as well. There's lots of little things you'll realize you'll need to bring with you. Oh, dishes...such as bowls, forks, cups, etc. I covered most of it. But I'm sure you may think of some more. GOOD LUCK!

If i were going to college, i would most likely take: * a stereo, or like ipod speakers * definitly a lap top or computer of some sort * a printer & paper * Stationary, of course * Comfortable bedding, like an underlay, or lots of pillows, and a cool looking bedding, that u like & aren't emnarrassed about - eg maybe not like ur superman bedding that you've had since grade 5.. * Non perishable snack food, eg - go to walmart and stock up on like bulk packs of ramen, granola bars, etc etc * A mini-fridge maybe???? * Posters to put up on ur wall so ur walls don't look bare and boring * Photos of ur friends/family/and you * Things that make u feel easy and comfortable, eg - if thats like an old teddy bear, or something sentimential * A chair - maybe?? Some dorm rooms give u one * A Dvd player or X box or Wii if u are into them?? * DVD's to watch, or games to play * Books that u might need - like study help books, or ones that u wanna read * Anything of like value to you, eg - if u have a fish tank in ur room already, u might wanna take that?? * a TV if u fancy? * A bike if u wish?? * Ur car, if u have one? * Some bottles of spirits or so, to take to parties.. * Oh, and if u don't have a cool wardrobe, i suggest u go out and get some cool fashion attire!! Basically anything that will make it feel like its 'your home'

You can never underestimate a good pair of shower flip-flops . . . avoid germs in the showers. Microwave . . . heat up leftover for munchies at night. A few really good pens . . .
