Should I go to college then university or straight to university?

Should I go straight to 4 year University college or spend 2 years at community then finish at Universty?

  • So me and my boyfriend was discussing about this. I'm majoring in Nursing and I was wondering if I should go to 2 years of community college and then enter a University. Is this a bad choice?

    Yes community college is cheaper. However, if you are going into nursing you need to get into medical school at some point. It looks better on your application if you attended all 4 years at a University rather community college. Overall, just makes you look better when applying to medical school.

It's not a bad idea at all. I'm actually thinking of doing the same thing because it saves a lot of money for tuition, and it'll be helpful if you get a masters degree.(: hope this helps with your decision!!

you should definitely go to community college first for two reasons: 1) community college is much cheaper 2) there are way more class openings and more schedule variety why delay graduation just because you cant get into a core class?

Community colleges tend to be cheaper than the Universities (at least thats how it is here). I was gonna to the same thing myself, I believe. Take the general courses I need in community college then go to the University when I'm ready to take the program (Dentist).

Community college is good for knocking out your GE courses, if needed. Costs less than a university, and less time in a university means smaller loans.
