Animal Cruelty Investigator?

What do I have to do for college and etc. to become an ASPCA Animal Cruelty Investigator?

  • Hi... I want to be an ASPCA Special Investigator when i get older (I am currently a sophomore). I'm currently going to a technical school in the morning as a Small Animal Care student. I looked into some of the Investigator's backgrounds. Most of them went to the NYPD and the FBI (I live in north Jersey now so I want to work with the ASPCA group in NY). I'm looking at colleges now so I need to know soon. Southern New Hampshire University looks like a possibility, or John Jay College of Criminal Justice. If anyone has any answers please tell me. You can contact me easier via e-mail at [email protected] or [email protected] Thanks! :)

  • Answer:

I would definitely recommend Law Enforcement, Criminal Justice or possibly Forensics as these all deal with how to examine criminal patterns and will allow you to recognize the signs of animal cruelty fairly easy.
