Answer:
Where do you live?I know here in Texas if you are in the top ten percent, you can get into any Texas college for sure. UT austin is a GREAT school! It's very hard to get into, you should go for it! and it's not ridiculously expensive like harvard and stuff that doesn't give you much of an education thats better than UT. I go to Texas Tech and it's an amazing engineer school, but you don't have to be amazingly smart to get in so idunno if you want that.

Well I think that depends on a lot of things. How much are you willing to spend? What field of work do you want to go into? There are many community colleges to suit the needs of those just graduating from high school. I suggest talking to your high school guidance counselor.
I think you have a good chance of at any of the top colleges, for engineering I would say Massachusetts Institute of Technology Stanford University University of California--Berkeley Georgia Institute of Technology University of Illinois--Urbana-Champaign Carnegie Mellon University California Institute of Technology University of Michigan--Ann Arbor University of Texas--Austin (Cockrell) Cornell University I just found these on a list of schools ranked on their engineering colleges. I'm at Georgia Tech, number 4 on that list, and my grades weren't nearly as good. I had a 3.8 and 1280 Sat / 29 ACT.
Well since you mention engineering then a specialist math/science school would probably be the go. I would look at MIT, Cal-tech, Harvey Mudd, Stanford, and Rose Hullman. Also if you want to leave your options open look into a 3+2 engineering program: http://www.geneseo.edu/math/3-2_engineering http://www.oberlin.edu/admissions/college/contact/documents/Engineering.pdf They are just two examples - tons more exist. Thanks Bill
A lot of factors go into making a decision on picking a college. Your grades, SAT, location, money, just to name a few.
