What is my SAT Score?

What is a good SAT score to get into Notre Dame, West Point or BC? SAT advice?

  • I am a junior and I am going to take my first SAT test this sat. Jan. 22. I am aiming for a 2000 for my first time. Hopefully better but my final goal is 2200 + is that good enough around 2200 or 2100-2200 to get into these schools? my average in a 100 scale is around a 90 only I do take one honor class. Varisty athlete since 8th grade. Its the last week I am currently going over vocab and reviewing. What else should I do to get closer to my 2200 and break 2000? I am familiar with the test format. taken the psat. went from a psat of 1450 to a proctored sat test of 2020. Please Help

To find comparative info on the colleges, including the US Military Academy (West Point, which requires an appointment by ones Congressional representative), the well-respected, unbiased College Board provides as service from it's College Search web page: http://www.collegeboard.com/student/csearch/index.html?affiliateId=rdr&bannerId=csearch Click on the "How do you compare" link on the right side of that web page and follow the on-screen instructions. You will obtain info regarding the admissions requirements for each school + info on how you compare to currently enrolled freshmen (1st year students.) The Am I On Track? and How Do I Stack Up? links for each school will give you the comparative info. The Univ. of Washington has a good web site with an online tutorial, Preparing for College, which you may find helpful in answering your questions: http://www.washington.edu/doit/Brochures/Academics/cprep.html Also, check with a librarian at your high school library and your local public library. No doubt the library holds books with tips on how to best prepare academically for college and the SAT. He/she can help you find the best possible resources. The most complete info may just be in book format and not "on the web." Keep that in mind as you continue into college. You WILL need to use the library resources (some which are/will be in electronic/internet format) for your college work, too. :-) Best wishes
