What is a good school to become a neurological surgeon?

Is it important to get good grades in high school to become a surgeon?

    Surgery is like pro baseball -- it requires a high level of skill, attention to detail and sustained effort that are developed through years of practice if you want the reward of working at the highest level. Academically that means you start in high school to develop the study skills and academic achievement that will carry you through medical school and into a surgical residency. If you give yourself permission to slack off along the way, you'll never get to med school. There are too many other hard-working students who will be more deserving of that spot in med school.

Your GPA would go down so you won't get into that much of a good college. Which could result in you being a bad surgeon.

get good grades always don't wait till it counts people want to know you for your good grades and work but in science I would suggest to pay more attention in chemistry and stuff that are needed to know for your major

If you don't try in school now, you won't get the grades to get into college/university (depending on if you're American/English). They will look at your past attendance and grades and if they see you have not tried, you are highly UNLIKELY to be considered. A surgeon is one of the worlds most skilled professions, they won't take you if you come across as someone who is lazy and unwilling.

If you can't motivate yourself to try hard now, you have 0 chance of making it into a medschool.
