Nothing is for sure these days. Even some Engineers are having trouble finding their first post-university jobs. However, outside of the health professions, Engineering is probably the safest Major.

As the other posters have said, engineering. Maybe not computer science because its being offshored to india and china. But CS pays very well. If you go to graduate school, and get a masters or Ph.D in engineering you are in VERY high demand. You can get industry jobs easily, because its very hard to get a Ph.D. And if you cant find a cool industry job, tons of universities will hire you as a professor for a good salary. A really cool thing to do is get a B.S. in Engineering. and then get a MBA from a graduate school. Lots of employers are looking for this combination.
