What is the difference between electronic switch and digital switch in terms of routing a call in telecom?

Answer:
These days nothing. All Telecom systems are digital, except the "last mile" to to the customer, where no switching happens. In the olden days of electronic switching, the switching of voice circuits was still analog, but conrtrol was digital, often computer controlled.
