I need help connecting my Roku!?
-
I'm trying to connect my roku. I have a lenovo laptop and a cisco dpc3010 modem. I linked an ethernet cord from my laptop to a 5-port hub #3, another ethernet cord from the hub to roku box #5, then the cord from my modem to the hub #1. Roku is up and running and is on my television screen. It detects the ethernet cable, but can't connect to our local network. We do not have a router or wifi. I'm trying to keep everything as cheap as possible. I'm trying to watch netflix that I am subscribed to on here. What am I doing wrong? I can't call Roku today because their support team isn't available on Sundays. If Roku is a waste of my time, do I need a router for a blue ray dvd player that supports netflixs? Thank you.

Answer:
You either need a router, or your ISP give you two IP addresses.
