Is Los Angeles Really Better than the San Fernando Valley?

Anyone have experience with the Virgin Mobile mifi 2200 in the San Fernando Valley area of Los Angeles?

  • Currently residing in the San Fernando Valley area of Los Angeles and want to know if anyone has had experience with this device as far as signal is concerned. Thanks.

  • Answer:

First thing you want to do when buying from Virgin Mobile is check the coverage, You can do this here http://www.virginmobileusa.com/check-cell-phone-coverage check both voice and data coverage, if you see any white spots in your area or lighter green or if when checking for data coverage you do not see orange in your area,, most likely the coverage isn't too good. Besides that what you could do is purchase at a radioshack or bestbuy ( wouldn't recomend any other place) try the device and see if you get good signal with the basic $10 plan, IF YOU GET A SLOW CONECTION DO OR ARE NOT SATTISFIED STOP USING IMEDIATLEY AND RETURN THE DEVICE, radioshack will refund for the device but not for the Top Up, For that you can call up Virgin Tech Support at 1.877.877.8443 explain your issue and more than likley you will get a no coverage refund if you did not use more than 5 mbs of usage.
