How to hook up a dvd player to record cable?

Can i record tv to dvd?

  • Can I record tv a RW-DVD disc? I have a old VCR player that is just connected to the tv with the red white and yellow wires, in order to record tv to tape i think i have to Connect the coaxle cable from my converter box ( I get tv from a antenna) to the vcr to the tv. And i have a vhs dvd recorder to transfer tapes to dvd but it doesn't have a coaxle input. So is there a way to hook up the new recorder or use the old VCR with the new VCR DVD recorder to record tv to dvd with out having the antenna coaxle input thing on the new VHS DVD recorder? Please help if you can thanks.

  • Answer:

Yes you can. You need a tuner box for your source (antenna, cable, satellite, IPTV), which outputs A/V. For antenna, a converter box will do fine.
