Problem with my computer's speakers.

Can I make a difference in sound volume for my external speakers and laptop speakers while they work together?

  • I have Toshiba Satellite L500 Laptop, and I can play music via laptop speakers and external ones at the same time, but the problem is that for example I would like the external ones to be more loud than the ones in the laptop. Is there a way to do this using sound control in windows since I would like to put those speakers where they would be unreachable for manual manipulation of sound volume? Maybe installing a different driver? Now I use Realtek High Definition Audio. Laptop specifications: http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/jsp/supportMyProduct.do?service=EU#tab0;

  • Answer:

    Using sound control in windows can only control the volume of sound output to the laptop speaker as a whole. Installing a different driver will not make any difference. If you connect an external speaker, these speaker has its own power amplifier and an individual volume control. You can make it louder than the laptop speaker output volume. By turning the volume control to its maximum level like this Logitech Multimedia speaker. http://www.amazon.com/gp/customer-media/product-gallery/B000R9AAJA/ref=cm_ciu_pdp_images_2?ie=UTF8&index=2
